Here's an ongoing journal of my goal to tastefully furnish my house for free. I should first say, It's a patience process. The concept is to upgrade along the way. I had some great buys. Some would say amazing. And also, not such great buys. One's I couldn't get rid of fast enough and lost a profit. Using the Red Paper Clip Theory, here's my fun journey to a nicely furnished house on a budget.
This 3 piece couch set was hard to sell for profit. I bought it for $400 and sold for $500.
White Shag Rug: Picked up 2 of these 8x10 white shag rugs for $50 each. I used white yarn to hand sew them together. It was completely un-noticeable because of the shag. As a 16x20 rug, I was able to get $275. $175 profit.
